Far Too Long.

So it has been far too long since I've blogged, my apologies. I'm just a very busy person, I guess.

I went to see Vampire Weekend at WFNX's Miracle On Tremont Street last night and it was absolutely amazing. Their set was way too short, since they only have about 12 or 13 songs, but I still had a lot of fun. I am officially on vacation from work for the next week. I have a busy week ahead of me but I do plan on trying to get the new layout finished and up by the weekend. No promises, though.

I also created a Tumblr account today, I'm not sure when I'll use it but if I do end up using it I'll post the link. I pretty much just made it so I could let all of you hear a new Fall Out Boy song that I'm in love with. I'm just posting a streaming song rather than an mp3 so you fuckers go buy it next Tuesday, cos you're going to love this song.

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]
Fall Out Boy - Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes.

Anyone else remember what the title of this song is referencing to?

May I Paint You?

SO. To catch you up. Last Saturday's SNL attempt was unsuccessful, as my colleague Evan already stated. BUT, it was a very fun time. Due to the unfortunate ways of the world, I was not able to meet the love of my fucking life, Paul Rudd. Due to the fortunate ways of the world, I am able to look at this photograph.

Oh dear. Also, during that episode was one of the funniest digital shorts I'v seen in a long time. A great man once called it Everyone's a Critic ... and the title remains.

And that's the world I would have known. Pretend you see me in the audience.

ANYWAY. I spent this Saturday in Northampton MA with my great buddy Andrea. She showed me a good time. We ate dinner at this sweet pub-type place called "Fitzwilly's" (which is apparently named after a Dick Van Dyke movie that no one has ever seen.) and it was BOMB. Went to some sweet Noho shops as Andrea calls it. Bought a sweet jacket at a place called Sid Vintage. Ate some Mediterranean food. Saw Zack and Miri again. Called it weekend. It was excellent.

Upcoming events: Thanksgiving on Thursday. HELL YEAH! My After-Thanksgiving Party on Friday. HELL YEAH! MORE FREE FOOD! Girl Talk show on Saturday. HELL YEAH! DANCE PARTY! And soon enough ... at the Wilbur Theatre ... STELLA! Should be the best thing ever. Speak to you folks again soon.

music: Paramore - Decode

mood: Happy Go Lightly.

We're Dancing!

My sincerest of apologies goes out to anyone who reads this because I have not updated in quite some time. I have just been so busy with work and social activities I just haven't been able to find the time. But, I have about an hour before I have to leave for work so I figured I'd update this a bit.

Brian and I went to New York last weekend with a few other friends on an unsuccessful trip to see SNL, but it was still good fun. I got to go to [a] Central Park for the first time. Got to stand in a line in the pouring rain again, which as you may know is one of my favorite things to do -- especially at 3:30 in the morning! I successfully stayed awake for 44 hours that weekend. I didn't even know it was possible for me to do that.

I have a few pictures from the New York trip, as well as some pictures from Halloween and Fall Out Boy that I wanted to put in this post but unfortunately I can't because the batteries in my camera are dead and I have no other AA batteries anywhere. Maybe I'll get some batteries after work today.

On a closing note, I just want everyone to know I have to new current obsessions that I recommend highly.

1. The new TI album, Paper Trail - buy it!
2. True Blood, a new series on HBO - watch it!

Bye, everyone!

music: Belle and Sebastian - The State I Am In.

Hello?! Going Somewhere Jackie?!

So, this dude, John Roberts, has the best YouTube videos. I'm sure you've seen them, "Jackie & Debra", "The Christmas Tree", etc. Anyway, he's hilarious, and this morning I saw that he posted a new video. A continuation of the "Jackie & Debra" saga. And it's fucking hilarious. I laughed. Real hard. By myself. That's saying a lot.

Off to New York tomorrow night to see SNL once again. I'll tell you ALLLLL about it.

music: New Found Glory - Black & Blue.

mood: Hanging. Chillin.
